What a difference a month makes! The total number of all categories of distressed property in Palm Desert dropped by 25 percent. By all categories I mean notices of default, actual foreclosed properties and those going to auction. The total for May was 734 versus 985 for April. It could be a brief aberration in what has been a constant trend or hopefully the beginning of the end of this national nightmare of foreclosures. Even with the lower numbers, there are opportunities for those of you wanting to buy in the the distressed market.
